Shipping policy
Order Processing
Orders are normally shipped within 4 hours of purchase, Monday to Friday between 10am and 5pm. Orders placed in the evening, on weekends, or on public holidays will be shipped on the next business day.
A street address is required for delivery, as our couriers cannot deliver to PO Boxes.
Couriers Used
Timaru Yamaha ships with Courier Post, NZ Couriers, Aramax, or Post Haste Couriers. Delivery within New Zealand typically takes 1–7 days, depending on your location and the product type.
Shipping Rates & Conditions
Flat Rate & Free Shipping*
Flat Rate Shipping and Free Shipping on orders over $150* apply within New Zealand only. These offers exclude dangerous goods (e.g., battery acid) and bulky items such as: motorcycles, generators, windscreens, road stands, ramps, ATV tyres, and gearbags.
For excluded items, we will contact you with a shipping cost, or you can contact us for a quote beforehand. We always aim to secure the best possible shipping rate.
Rural Delivery
Rural addresses incur an additional $5 charge (including orders over $150). Please allow an extra 2–3 days for rural delivery.
E‑Bikes
E‑Bikes are shipped as dangerous goods. Please allow 7 business days for delivery. E‑Bikes cannot be shipped to rural delivery addresses.
Product Availability
All items are subject to availability at the time of purchase. If an item is not immediately available in New Zealand, you will be notified and offered the option to:
- backorder the item
- swap for a different colour/size/brand
- cancel the item
Motorcycle & ATV Shipping
Motorcycles and ATVs can be shipped, but please contact us prior to purchase for a shipping quote.
Australian Shipping
Timaru Yamaha uses NZ Post (EMS) for Australian deliveries. Please allow 5–10 days for delivery.
Bulky items (larger than a helmet) and motorcycles cannot be shipped to Australia.
International Shipping
Timaru Yamaha may be able to ship internationally. Please contact us with the product you require and your location. Email us for a quote
